Opera Queensland Patron Program

Our Patrons are crucial to the growth and development of our art, our artists and our audiences.

We are happy to thank our Patrons with enhanced experiences such as wardrobe tours, studio rehearsals and backstage experiences, and even opportunities to enjoy the company and skill of our artists in bespoke settings.

The best reward, of course, is the satisfaction our Patrons receive from knowing that they have helped perpetuate excellence in every note, every costume, every set and every production we stage, and introduced the wonder of Opera to brand new audiences and singers across the state.

The 2018 Patrons Program falls into the following tiers:

Bronze Patron: $500
Silver Patron: $1,000 +
Gold Patron: 5,000 +
Platinum Patron: $10,000 +
Foundation Patron: 15,000 +

To find out more about the program, please email development@operaq.com.au or phone 07 3735 3030.

Spotlight on Sam Piper

Opera Queensland’s award-winning education and community programs transform young lives to inspire, nurture and empower young people to find their voice.

The ultimate example of a life transformed by Opera Queensland’s programs is Sam Piper. In 2010, a then 16-year-old Sam joined one of our popular school workshops, an experience which would change his life journey.

“I turned from computer nerd into opera lover overnight. I later went on to work in Opera Queensland’s education program as a tutor, and saw this profound impact happen with other students. It is extraordinary to be a part of.”

Fast forward to June 2018 and you’ll find Sam preparing for his principal debut as Masetto in Opera Queensland’s new production of Don Giovanni.

We know that not all students will go on to be singers like Sam…some will become teachers, lawyers and engineers but all will share a passion for opera.

Help us inspire the next generation of opera lovers.
