I can’t thank you enough for doing such a splendid job with this year’s congress banquet. It was spectacular in every way – no doubt about it. You could have heard a pin drop when they launched into The Pearlfishers. Gives me goose bumps just thinking about it now. I hope we get to do this again together soon. My heartfelt thanks for being such a joy to work with – all of you – and your creative talents know no boundaries. People are still raving about the night. And so they should – it was fabulous!

The Rotary Club of Stanthorpe treasures its relationship with Queensland’s opera loving community and delights in the cultural achievements and charity milestones over the past 25 years of Opera in the Vineyard.
The partnership between Opera Queensland, Rotary and Ballandean Estate Winery has enabled over $1,000,000 to be raised for many worthy causes, but particularly The Wesley Hospital in Brisbane.
The Wesley’s pastoral care for country cancer patients was the impetus for the first Opera in the Vineyard, and we have helped them with many specific men’s and women’s health projects ever since.
It’s more than a fun weekend in the country, more than fine wine, great scenery and fantastic opera, it’s a chance to support a great cause, and with Opera Queensland’s support, long may it continue.
