Your call to the stage in 2017!
Following the success of Project Puccini in 2014, Opera at Jimbour (Fledermaus) in 2015 and recently, Project Rossini in 2016, OperaQ is again giving Queenslanders in the Toowoomba region the opportunity to perform in Franz Lehár’s The Merry Widow at Queensland Music Festival’s Opera at Jimbour in 2017.
Successful auditionees will take to the stage as part of the Toowoomba Community Chorus on Saturday 22 July alongside OperaQ principal artists Emily Burke, David Hobson, Hayley Sugars and Virgilio Marino and the Queensland Conservatorium Orchestra under the baton of Roland Peelman. Up to 46 places are available in the Toowoomba Community Chorus with auditions taking place on 17 and 18 February 2017.
Opera at Jimbour is presented by Queensland Music Festival, Western Downs Regional Council, Opera Queensland and Russell Pastoral
