With the Brisbane season of La bohème in its final week, regional choruses around Queensland are making their final preparations to take to the stage in their cities.
Four shows in and we’re wrapped with reviews of our brand new production of La boheme. With stellar praise from The Australian, The Sunday Mail, Courier Mail, Limelight Magazine, Stage Whispers and Arts Hub – this show is a must see!
Today we welcomed our fantastic La bohème company to the OperaQ Studio. The team will rehearse for one month before the production makes its Brisbane debut on Saturday, 12 July at the Conservatorium Theatre in Brisbane.
We believe great music enriches us, individually and as a community. We believe a vibrant arts scene is the lifeblood of a progressive society. We believe Queensland audiences deserve an opera company of the highest standard, a company that serves the whole of Queensland, and that opera must flourish for future generations to experience.
Our intrepid Project Puccini team have spent the last two months travelling to eight regional centres throughout Queensland to search for local chorus members for our upcoming production of La bohème.
Lindy Hume’s production of Rigoletto opened at the Lyric Theatre QPAC on Saturday, 15 March.
The OperaQ Studio is singing again as the cast and creatives of Rigoletto have joined us to commence rehearsals.
